But it is also worth planning tours in between, for example on the almost 50 km long Bockerlbahn cycle path, a former railway line between Landau an der Isar and Postmünster, where there is a connection to the Rottal cycle path. The spa triangle of Bad Füssing, Bad Griesbach and Bad Birnbach is particularly popular for recreation and relaxation.
The entire region between the Inn, Isar and Danube rivers is flat to gently undulating, making it ideal for leisure and family cyclists. The network of more than a thousand kilometres of signposted cycle paths is suitable for both stage and star tours.
Tour tip: Rottal cycle path, 86 km, easy.
Route: Neumarkt-Sankt Veit - Massling - Eggenfelden - Postmünster - Pfarrkirchen - Bad Birnbach - Bad Griesbach - Pocking - Ruhstorf a. d. Rott - Neuhaus am Inn (connection to the Inn cycle path)
May to the end of September.
The entire region is easily accessible by train via Munich or Regensburg, including the famous thermal spa towns. Call the railway's cycling hotline on 01805/99 66 33 (14 ct/min. from a landline, max. 42 ct/min. for mobile phones).
Bike hire and workshops can be found in the larger towns, such as the five spas of Bad Füssing, Bad Griesbach, Bad Birnbach, Bad Abbach and Bad Gögging.
