Slovenia: New mountain bike guide
For two years, Peter Immich and Michael Kemmler spent every free minute in the Julian Alps - now they have summarised their touring experiences in a guide. "Slovenia. 30 mountain bike tours in the Soca Valley" is the name of the professionally designed tour reference book.

Previously, it was mainly paragliders and kayakers who appreciated the adventurous nature park in the Slovenian Alps. But Immich and Kemmler increasingly took their bikes with them and quickly recognised the countless tour options along the emerald-coloured whitewater river Soca, also known as the "river of glass". The starting points for the tours described are the three historic main towns of Bovec, Kobarid and Tolmin. From here, the new guide leads you either by road book (to take out) or by GPS tracks (free of charge) through the still almost untouched Slovenian landscape and tells its moving story.

The book is 192 pages thick, with pictures that immediately make you want to get going.
