Route des Vins - Cycle route through vineyards
You can take two days for the 82-kilometre tour north of Colmar. After starting in Kogenheim, the route first heads west into the vineyards. Wine-growing villages such as Dambach-la-Ville line the route to the foot of Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle.

The landscape then changes in the small town of Sélestat. The town is the gateway to the "Great Ried", the land of the famous "Matelote" fish ragout between Strasbourg and Colmar. The Ried is a unique mosaic of marshes, reeds, wet meadows and groves, with a very characteristic colour and shape. The route leads from the Ried to the Rhine.

The return journey follows the EuroVelo 15 Rhine cycle path along the Rhine-Rhône Canal. If you would like to try the "Matelote" fish stew of eel, pike, tench and pikeperch together with an Alsace Riesling, you can take a break at the "Aux Deux Clefs" restaurant in Ebersmunster, for example.
