Austria's capital is not exactly one of Europe's cycling metropolises. Nevertheless, Vienna's cycle path network covers around 1250 kilometres. The aim is to increase the share of cycling from the current six per cent to ten per cent of total traffic by 2015. Many famous sights can also be easily reached by bike without a guide, such as the opera, parliament and Burgtheater on the Ring-Rund cycle path. The most important information for cyclists in Vienna can be found on the City of Vienna's cycle information leaflet for download at www.wien.info
