Pleasure cycling in Burgenland
In a special issue, the MYBIKE travel editors present the top tours in three regions of Burgenland - namely around Lake Neusiedl and in central and southern Burgenland. From the 24-kilometre "Edelserpentin-Radweg" to the 260-kilometre "Paradiesroute" multi-day tour, there should be something for every fitness level and every type of tour. All the important tips and service information can be found here.

In the far east, Austria pulls out all the stops as an attractive cycling destination: plenty of sunshine, a mild climate, fascinating natural landscapes, tempting bathing lakes, excellent wines and one of the best long-distance cycle routes in Central Europe await. There are also around 2,500 kilometres of other cycle paths - well signposted, with interesting routes and, where possible, largely free of car traffic. And as usual in Austria, cyclists are also well catered for in Burgenland. The inns and wine taverns are so delicious that you may well find it difficult to continue your journey.

Cycling regions and tour tips in Burgenland

Lake promenade: The most beautiful cycle tours around Lake Neusiedl
Lake Neusiedl offers one of the best cycle paths in Europe all around. Many other interesting cycle routes lead through the vineyards and the Seewinkel National Park, which extends far into Hungary. We present the stage tour around Lake Neusiedl and four selected day tours.

Cycle tours to magical places in Central Burgenland
Central Burgenland means enjoyable tours through the gentle wine-growing hills around the small wine-growing villages or historically interesting excursions into the Austro-Hungarian border region, where there are many quiet villages and secluded landscapes, but certainly no tourist hustle and bustle. If you are looking for something completely different, simply swap your bike for a draisine - cycling on rails on a former railway line, so to speak. Active fun for the whole family, especially for those who complete the entire 23 kilometres from Deutschkreutz to Oberpullendorf.
