On the wrong track
The Tauern Cycle Path through Salzburgerland is one of the most popular long-distance cycle routes in the Alps. It passes through such varied regions that you should plan detours. And with an e-bike, discovering the scenic gems off the main route is not too much of a risk

The Tauern Cycle Route from Krimml via Salzburg to Zell am See is 270 kilometres long and very moderate with 600 metres of altitude. With the five detours described, there are 332 kilometres and 2,413 metres of altitude to cover. The individual detours are asphalted or finely gravelled and easy to ride on touring e-bikes.
Right at the start, the Tauern Cycle Trail features the famous Krimml Waterfalls. In addition to the detours we have described, there are many sights on or near the popular long-distance cycle route.

The National Park Centre in Mittersill, the Eisriesenwelt and Hohenwerfen Castle are definitely worth a visit. Zell am See, the market town of Golling, the Celtic town of Hallein and, last but not least, the world-famous baroque town of Salzburg invite you to experience culture.
