On the first section from the Maloja Pass to Innsbruck
If you follow the Inn from its source in Graubünden to Innsbruck in Tyrol, you will embark on a breathtaking journey through the Alps.

TREKKINGBIKE travelled along the first section of the Inn Cycle Path. The route is signposted in an exemplary manner and is mainly downhill.

Character

The 230 kilometres of the first section of the Inn Cycle Path from the Maloja Pass to Innsbruck are recommended for more experienced trekking bikers. Some sections of the route are quite sandy and bumpy and feature climbs and steep descents. A sturdy touring bike with sufficient gear reserves is a decisive advantage here. The route is well signposted.

If you also want to see something on the way, plan four to five days. The tour is only suitable for children aged 12 and over. Please note: The weather can quickly change from sunshine to strong winds and even snowfall high up in the mountains, even in summer. It is therefore essential to bring warm clothing, gloves and wind and rain protection!

Best time to travel

Most pleasant from the beginning of June to mid-September.
