Val Sugana is a good example of how the cycle path network could develop. There is now an 80-kilometre-long, exemplary cycle path from Lago di Caldenazzo to Bassano del Grappa in Veneto. In future, the cycle path through Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa will run just as beautifully through even more spectacular mountain scenery.
The number of traffic-free cycle paths in Trentino is constantly growing. To the left and right of the Adige, longer tarmac or gravelled sections lead into Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa, Val di Sole and Val Sugana as well as across to Lake Garda and the Sarca Valley. And more trails are being planned. With the exception of the Adige cycle path, the routes are recommended for children aged 10 to 12.
From the Adige Valley to the Sarca Valley, 54 km, easy to moderately difficult: Start in Mori near Rovereto in the Adige Valley. Over the Passo San Giovanni (272 metres above sea level) to Nago and down to Torbole, briefly along the northern shore of the lake, then on the river cycle path along the Sarca to the north via Arco and Pietramurata to Sarche. Return on the approach route.

Hotels around northern Lake Garda, such as the Aktivhotel Santalucia in Torbole (www.aktivhotel.it), but the mountain valleys of Val di Sole, Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa are also well prepared for cyclists.
