When you go on a cycling holiday in the Lillebælt region, you are also on holiday in Denmark's largest nature park.
Lillebælt Nature Park stretches from Hejlsminde near Christiansfeld to Trelde Næs north of Fredericia. With its 370 square kilometres, Lillebælt Nature Park is Denmark's largest nature park and something very special, even for the locals. Here you will find a very special combination of nature, landscape, culture and geology.
For the locals, the region is an oasis of relaxation, with a unique landscape, both green and hilly, beautiful beaches, old forests with many rare plants and animals, and not forgetting the beautiful Little Belt.
Another small speciality can also be observed in the waters of the Little Belt, namely the smallest whales in the world - the harbour porpoise. But the region has so much more to offer. For example, experience the comfort of the town of Christiansfeld, which is a World Heritage Site, go exploring in Fredericia on one of the best-preserved ramparts in Northern Europe or venture 60 metres up the old Little Belt Bridge between Middelfart and Fredericia on a bridge walk.
