The flat Formentera is practically made for leisurely cycling. The only climb leads up to the plateau of La Mola.

The 82 square kilometres can be covered relatively quickly, but Formentera is more about slowing down. Extensive tours can be enjoyed on nearby Ibiza. With their light-coloured sand and clear turquoise water, the beaches are among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.

Mass tourism only takes place here in July and August and is concentrated in the main town of Es Pujols. Fortunately, the number of accommodations is limited, so Formentera has been able to retain its flair and tranquillity.
