Island hopping by bike on the Lofoten Highway
The archipelago for true Scandinavia fans in the north of Norway. Those who love magnificent landscapes will not be deterred by adverse weather in the far north.

At these latitudes, a warm fleece and full wind and rain protection should always be in your luggage. At the height of summer, the car traffic on the main E10 road between the cute fishing villages on the islands is more of a nuisance. That's why insiders recommend that cyclists should go in early autumn, when the weather is at its most stable. There are also interesting detours from the Moskenes - Svolvær "Lofoten Highway" into relatively unspoilt areas, e.g. in the Selfjorden, to Nesland, Myrland, Unstad, Eggum, Gimsøy, Laukvik or along the Raftsund Road.
along the Raftsund Strait.

Character:

The main roads are well developed and run at the foot of the mountains. Beware, lots of motorhome traffic in high summer! The gradients are gentle. A touring bike with mountain bike gears and tyres is recommended for the side roads.
