June to early September is generally considered the best time to visit, but this is when most tourists flock to the Lofoten Islands. Those who prefer to stand at the summit without like-minded people have a good chance from mid-September to mid-October. After that, it usually gets too cold and dark early. From September onwards, the risk of snowfall increases, even at low altitudes.
