400km cycle tour through the vineyards of Styria
More cycling through the vines is not possible - a long tour through the vineyards of southern and eastern Styria.

The name says it all: Wine takes centre stage. Throughout the wine-growing region of Styria, cyclists can sample regional wines on the spot, ideally after the day's tour. Speaking of the tour: for real enjoyment, it is advisable to divide the entire 400-kilometre route into eight daily stages. The tour takes in the well-known towns of Graz, Hartberg, Loipersdorf, Bad Radkersburg, Leibnitz and Deutschlandsberg.

The eight Styrian wine routes are covered on the Wine Country Tour

In addition to wine, apples and pumpkin seed oil also take centre stage in various regions. Food and drink are catered for everywhere along the route, whether in wine taverns, wine cellars or other rustic inns. And for those who prefer to look after themselves, there are many local products fresh from the farm in various farm shops. The entire route is signposted in both directions.

Journey:
Via the capital Graz.
Partial stages: More than 30 railway stations along the route make it possible to return to the starting point. www.bahn.de

Tour combinations:
The wine country tour can be complemented well, for example, with the Mura cycle path R2, Thermenradweg R12, Raabtalradweg R11 and Sulmtalradweg R1.
