Tegestal (34.54 km/1170 metres altitude)
By far the most beautiful tour in the entire area is not short of attractions and has a lot of variety to offer. Starting from Tarrenz, the route is initially flat to Nassereith before suddenly branching off extremely steeply uphill into the Tegestal valley. Once you reach the Tarrentonalp, you are in a biker's paradise. The technically demanding ascent to the Dirstentrittkreuz should appeal to trail specialists in particular. The descent to Sinnesbrunn also has some technical treats to offer. It is a real challenge in terms of fitness and technique and can only be mastered by well-trained and experienced bikers.
Imsterberger Venetalm (38.51 km/1456 metres altitude)
This is probably the most strenuous tour in the entire region. This is due to the very long and in places steep ascent to the Venetalm. Nevertheless, this classic is very worthwhile, as it connects the Inntal valley with the Pitztal valley and also offers a nice refreshment stop right at the top of the pass. It's only a short, flat ride to Imsterau, but then the steep tarred road really gets down to business. The long ascent via Imsterberg and Spadegg rarely loses any of its sharpness and you have to manage your strength well if you want to reach the Venetalm in good shape. Afterwards, however, you have earned your reward: a fine downhill on the Pitztal side via Wenns and the Pitz Bike Trail back to Imst. (Author: Traian Grigorian)
Around Imst (24.14 km/746 metres altitude)
At no more than 5 kilometres from the centre of the Imst district, this tour takes in the nearby highlights of the Imst-Gurgltal biking region. It climbs from the flat Imst basin and the Inntal valley up to the sublime viewing terrace of Hoch-Imst. There, where you have beautiful views of the surrounding mountain ranges, trails and beautiful descents follow down into the valley to Tarrenz. A little stamina is required for the ascent. The almost flat ride through the Emligwald forest gives you an idea of the beautiful trail options above Imst.
