The precinct
The Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn network extends across Tyrol and Salzburger Land and is Austria's largest bike region: 35 trail builders look after the 80 kilometres of natural trails and lines (7 blue, 7 red and 9 black routes) - from the legendary Hacklberg trail on the Schattberg to the downhill world championship route Vali's Hölle in Leogang.

- Tour 1: Hochalm circuit (Day 1 is divided into two sections - from Fieberbrunn to the Spielberghaus: 9.6 km - 510 m elevation gain - 30 min. Hochalm trail loop from the Spielberghaus: 35 km - 1280 m elevation gain - 1310 tm. Distance 45 km, uphill 1790 metres, downhill 1310 metres, riding time approx. 4 h, battery approx. 630 Wh. Riding technique: 70 % easy, 20 % medium, 10 % difficult)
- Tour 2: Via Kohlmais and Asitz to Leogang (Day 2: Supertrail day without luggage, starting point: Spielberghaus. Distance 36 km, uphill 760 m, downhill 1240 m. Riding time approx. 3 h, battery approx. 500 Wh. Riding technique: 50 % easy, 40 % medium, 10 % difficult)
Arrival
Travelling by train saves CO2 and money, as the 10-day motorway ticket alone costs 19.80 euros in Austria. The fastest train connection from Munich to Fieberbrunn takes 2:05 hours (1 change), and the ticket is available from just 12.90 euros (one-way). Bike transport: 12 euros (ÖBB weekly ticket). A reservation for the bike is necessary, but can be conveniently made with ÖBB online and via the ÖBB app (3 euro fee). Best time to travel
Even if the long summer days are tempting, the Spielberghaus is an insider tip, especially in the months of May/June and September/October. There is less going on in the valley and on the mountain and the atmosphere is correspondingly relaxed. The lifts in Leogang run from 7 May to 6 November, in Saalbach Hinterglemm from 26 May to 16 October 2022.
Accommodation
The Spielberghaus is located at an altitude of 1311 metres above Saalbach. Walter Höll is a trained chef and took over the hut from his father at the age of 23. Over the years, the rustic accommodation has become an extremely cosy lodge. Guests sleep in double rooms and family rooms (double bed and bunk bed) with en-suite bathrooms. The huge bike garage is well equipped, including a Bosch power station. Around the house there is a small pump track, the Höllen-Trail as well as a 25 square metre panoramic sauna and a hot tub with a view of the Pinzgau mountains.
The overnight stay with half board includes a sumptuous breakfast and even more sumptuous three-course dinner (also vegetarian or vegan).
