In addition to its twelve kilometres of single trails, the Bikepark Lienz offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and a family atmosphere. This year, the "Peter Sagan Trail" was honoured as the best freeride trail in the whole of Tyrol (photo at the top). Bikepark Lienz is also the youngest member of the Gravity Card, part of the largest European bike park network of 24 bike parks in 6 countries.
Situated between the Großglockner, Austria's highest mountain at 3,798 metres, and the Lienz Dolomites, the Lienz Bike Park has become a real insider tip in just five years. Its four bike park trails "Flow Family Trail", "Alban Lakata Trail", "Peter Sagan Trail" and "Welcome to the Jungle", which are twelve kilometres long in total, offer plenty of flow, massive airtime, tricky root passages and rock gardens - everything a mountain biker's heart desires. Divided into one blue and two red routes as well as a black version, the Bikepark Lienz is the perfect playground for riders of all skill levels: From beginners and families with young bikers to experienced shredders.
A few weeks after the opening of the Bikepark Lienz, there is another highlight when the second East Tyrolean bike park opens for the season. Not far from the home of probably the two most famous East Tyrolean mountain bikers, Fabio Wibmer and Gabriel Wibmer, the Bike Park Großglockner Resort and its three single trails of around nine kilometres invite you to enjoy spectacular rides with a unique 360-degree view of the eponymous summit and many other mountains in the Hohe Tauern and Lienz Dolomites.
