Sometimes, when I sit on my bench on the Stanser Niederleger, I have to smile. Especially at the weekend, when the avalanche of cars with bikes on the rear carriers rolls through to Lake Garda deep down in the Inn Valley. "Mei, oh mei, now it's staying there!", you almost want to shout down there in a fatherly manner. But then I'm glad that I have my trail jewels here almost to myself.
I discovered the Stanserjoch tour during my time in Schwaz. The small village of Stans, the starting point of this tour, is just a stone's throw away from there. I spent two years trawling through the maps and exploring practically every route. The thing is, I always live where there are good trails. First I have to find and study them, then combine them in such a way that they are easy to ride. If everything fits, I keep these trails clean and in good condition. This has already earned me the name "da Hausmeista" in the Inn Valley.
