In 4X racing, Angie Hohenwarter can resolutely pull out her elbows, but in her private life she loves trails. Her favourite trail winds down from the Schattberg and is a branch of the Schattberg Trail.

I know it's not a good idea, but I always make this mistake and I really like it: when I come to Saalbach-Hinterglemm, the first thing I order is a Kaspressknödelsuppn. I usually look forward to this floating, crispy and delicious-smelling cheese dumpling days in advance and can hardly wait for it. But even in the Schattberg gondola, the dumpling in my stomach resonates once again, and at the latest on the nasty, steep remaining climb up to the Schattberg West summit, I vow to wait until after the tour next time. But at an altitude of 2096 metres, after 20 minutes of belly-leg-butt-pushing, the dumpling suddenly gives up - probably burnt.

So, today we're doing something completely new, I learn from my colleagues at the top: the Bergstadl Trail. First we head down the familiar Hacklberg trail for a while, and then we branch off onto this much more challenging path. I listen to my stomach again - it doesn't seem to care. Let's get going!
