For twelve years, the region has been working on the vision of turning the Reschen Pass into a biking Mecca. "And with the EasyRide Trailpark, another milestone has now been set," says Wolf Helmut, CEO of the TVB Tiroler Oberland - Erlebnisraum Nauders, proudly at the opening ceremony.
The Jumpline and the Goldsee Trail of the new trail park cost a total of 190,000 euros, financed by the Nauderer Bergbahnen and the TVB Tiroler Oberland. An investment that will pay off - Christoph Baumann from Nauderer Bergbahnen is certain of this: "The trail offer is an important summer offer for our mountain railways and creates additional added value through both transport and catering." The rising numbers in recent years prove him right: when the 3-country enduro trails opened in summer 2008, the cable cars recorded 30,000 rides in summer. By 2021, the figure had risen to 100,000 rides and by 2024, the cable cars had already set a summer record of 250,000 rides.
In future, the Nauder cable cars will be supported by the Goldsee cable car, which also opened on 15 June. The most prominent guest on this day was downhill racer and riding technique youtuber Elias Schwärzler. As part of his Senders Academy, he and his professional guides took a rattling gang of 300 protégés down the fresh lines on Sunday.
The opening began with a colourful parade of nations and flags through the start area. The local bike club group led the way, followed by the full festival programme with a jump line session, cash & goodies competition and guided rides.
On Sunday, 15 June, a lot comes together in Nauders: Not only will the new Goldsee trail be opened, but also the fast Goldsee cable car. Downhill rider and YouTube influencer Elias Schwärzler has been invited to attend. The 29-year-old will also be celebrating an event premiere as part of his "Sender Academy": his first "Community Day". Quite a packed programme for one day, so let's take it one item at a time:
Sunday morning starts free of charge for all participants at the new Goldsee cable car and its recently opened jumpline with a Cash & Goodies 4 Tricks session. Here everyone can show off their skills. There are cash & goodies totalling over 2000 euros to be won.
In the afternoon, it's off to the new trails with the professional coaches from the Senders Academy: the focus is on technical exercises, fun and dialogue. There will also be plenty of music and top catering.
Participation is free and lift tickets will be discounted to celebrate the day. All you need to do to plan the event is to register and book in advance. All information about it:

The new trail offer on the Bergkastel high plateau is called "EasyRide TrailPark" and consists of the new 2.34 kilometre long Goldsee Trail including a jump line, the already established Hofrats Trail and a bike base with four different mini jump lines. This also includes the new Goldsee cable car, which in future will zip up from the valley station to the trail entrance in just 3.1 minutes. A trail area within the 3-country enduro trails where beginners and families will also feel at home. But it will also provide plenty of airtime for pros.
The Goldsee Trail and Jumpline can already be ridden next weekend, from 7 June, before the official opening is celebrated a week later on Senders Community Day:
Manuel Baldauf, Managing Director of TVB Tiroler Oberland, is certain that the new trail combination will be a hit: "The trail impresses with its perfect balance between flow and challenge. Varied elements, rollable lines and jumps offer both beginners and experienced bikers an unforgettable experience. As a modern hybrid trail, the Goldsee trail combines elements of stone, wood, earth and airflow, then it goes over step-ups and step-downs into a slopestyle area that invites you to take off. On the main blue line, the trail always remains rollable, while the red line is specifically designed for challenging airtime sections.
At the end of the trail, the newly built jumpline awaits with perfectly shaped jumps and flowing transitions for the ultimate adrenaline rush. There are also two variants here: a blue line for a slow approach and a red line for experienced bikers.
This means that the entire 3-country enduro area will be covered in future:
Elias Schwärzler holds the MTB speed record of 272 kilometres per hour (2021), was once flatmate Fabio Wibmer and took part in the Sick! series. The 29-year-old Austrian quickly made a name for himself as an influencer with his stunt, adventure and action documentaries. A few years ago, he founded the Senders Academy: a kind of complete programme for up-and-coming riders. The package includes driving technique camps and workshops on the following topics: online coaching, personal video analyses of proBics, riding techniques and learning content for every level, social media performance, finding sponsors and "How to make the leap to pro biker".
