We had described our experiences at the time without getting to the bottom of the problem. In the meantime, the Sram shifting engineers from Schweinfurt have taken a closer look at the defect. The white plastic gauge is included with every new rear derailleur. Unlike the red chain gap tool from the past, the new gauge is applied when the Chain on second gear (42 sprocket).
