The area is extremely cycle-friendly with marked cycle routes, good signposting and information boards. You can choose between shorter adventure routes with local sights and nature experiences or the longer routes, which are more challenging. One example is the 820-kilometre Danish Baltic Sea Cycle Route (N8) or the international long-distance cycle route between Copenhagen and Berlin (N9). Both long-distance routes take you on sections through the beautiful landscape of Lolland-Falster.

You can make a few stops on the cycle tours, for example at the local farm shops and shops, which often invite you to enjoy free samples so that you can continue cycling refreshed. The gardens and parks of the manor houses also invite you to take a break or visit the local artists in their studios and exhibitions, where you can see ceramic and glass art treasures.

Many of the cycle routes can be found in the "Naturlandet Lolland-Falster" app. This provides you with information and inspiration for your next cycle tour, including maps and GPX data. Each cycle tour has its own theme, for example "Cycling in the land of the white-tailed eagle", "Large stone tombs on the prehistoric route" or "Experience wild horses". You will find cycle routes for every taste, with a wide variety of content and variable lengths as well as many different experiences within nature, culture and gastronomy.

Below you will find a small taster of the cycle routes that await you on Lolland-Falster:

You are very likely to encounter white-tailed eagles on this route. Not only that - you also have the opportunity to experience the beautiful Maribo Lakes Nature Park and really take a deep breath. The Maribo Lakes Nature Park is a unique nature reserve with a rich plant and animal life, exciting cultural experiences and excellent nature experiences on land and water. The nature reserve is located in the cosy town of Maribo, where the tour starts and ends at the local tourist information office. In Maribo, you can visit cultural sights such as the Maribo Cathedral Church, stroll around the charming little shops or enjoy a bite to eat in one of the local restaurants. Along the route, you will pass numerous beautiful vantage points with views over the Maribo lakes, over which, with luck, a white-tailed eagle may be circling - we therefore recommend that the bird experts among you take a pair of binoculars with you! If you need a break from cycling, you can also lace up your hiking boots, as this route is also perfect for walking.

On the cycle route "Lolland's Alps" you cycle 36 kilometres through a slightly hilly landscape with beautiful views. Lolland-Falster is actually known for its flat landscape, but on this route you will experience the exact opposite. At the end of the last ice age around 20,000 years ago, a spectacular hilly landscape with high hills and deep valleys was left behind at Ravnsby Bakker. The route takes you past one of the destination's many highlights - the Dodekalitten, a spectacular stone monument recommended in Lonely Planet and Travellers' Top Choice 2021, among others. From up here, you have a breathtaking view over the Danish South Sea. The route then continues via Ravnsborg Castle past historic burial mounds and ends at one of the best-known and best-preserved burial chambers, Kong Svends Høj (King Sven's Mound).
