Test drivers wanted!
Are you interested in the entry-level class and would like to buy a bike for less than 1000 euros? Join in and apply to be a test rider for this year's test of the € 999 hardtails.

Are you interested in the beginner class and would like to buy a bike for less than 1000 euros? Or are you already riding an entry-level bike and want to get to know the latest equipment?

Then apply to be a test rider for this year's test of the 999-euro hardtails. You should have some bike experience, otherwise you only need two days between 21 November and 4 December.

Send your application with information about yourself and a coherent explanation of why you are a suitable test rider directly to test editor Stefan Loibl by 16 November, quoting the keyword "Test rider 999-euro hardtails".

Sebastian Brust was born in 1979 and was originally socialised on his grandmother's folding bike, but has mainly been riding studded tyres since his fifth birthday. Loves all kinds of bikes - and merging with nature. Believes that disc brakes are much safer today than they were 15 years ago and thinks he has helped with his brake and pad tests. However, the trained vehicle technology engineer very much regrets that the bicycle industry is orientating itself on what he considers to be the wrong ideals of the car industry. At BIKE, he corrects, produces and organises digital content on the website.
