Fazua is breaking new ground with the Ride 60. Unlike its predecessor models, the drive unit can no longer be removed from the frame, but is permanently installed in the down tube. Fazua justifies this with a higher degree of design freedom, flexibility and integration capability. Thanks to its compact design, the system offers manufacturers great freedom in terms of design. Fazua riders can still remove the battery from the frame.
FAZUA cooperated closely with bicycle manufacturers in the development of the FAZUA RIDE 60 drive system. The aim was to integrate the Fazua Drive Unit perfectly into the frame. This was achieved with a compact, rigid and stable motor mount.
In addition to the design innovations, the performance data is also striking. Fazua states a maximum torque of 60 Nm, which is 10 Nm more than its predecessor. According to the manufacturer, the drive delivers a maximum output of 450 watts. Its predecessor, the Ride 50 Evation, pushed just under 300 watts onto the rear wheel on our roller dynamometer.
The Ride 60 is controlled via the minimalist Fazua Ring Control on the handlebars. All essential information can be read on the Fazua LED hub integrated in the top tube. It clearly and comprehensibly displays the battery charge level and the selected riding mode with five coloured LEDs.
The new Fazua Energy 430 battery ensures high endurance, with 430 Wh it provides sufficient capacity for extended tours. The battery can be easily removed from the frame using the intuitive fastener. There, the battery is firmly secured on a specially developed, one-piece rail. It can be charged both when removed and directly on the bike via a charging socket.
With the Fazua app, the riding modes can be customised to your own preferences and saved in different profiles. The app offers a large selection of riding profiles for different areas of use and preferences. In addition, a customised profile can be created and saved with simple questions about fitness level, height, weight and intended use. The FAZUA desktop software enables dealers, as well as cyclists themselves, to carry out configurations, updates and fault diagnoses on their own computer.
Partners from the very beginning are CANYON and Riese&Müller. Both manufacturers will present the first models with the Fazua Ride 60 in the course of the year.
