At this year's Germany Tour - one of the most important cycling races for professionals and amateurs worldwide - the ADAC, in co-operation with Yeply ensure greater safety and raise awareness. During the final stage, the companies are offering a bike check for every cycling enthusiast, regardless of whether they are a member or not. On Saturday, 27 August, anyone can bring their bike to Stuttgart's Schlossplatz from 2pm to 6pm and have their brakes, lights, chain and tyres checked free of charge. On Sunday, this is even possible from 11 am to 6 pm. With over 100 locations throughout Europe, Yeply is on the rise when it comes to bicycle maintenance and is once again making a commitment to road safety with this campaign.
As a consumer protection organisation, the ADAC is always responsible for road safety. Not only for motor vehicle traffic: the new ADAC bicycle breakdown service is a step towards a mobility turnaround, with which the ADAC now also helps members if they have broken down on their bike. The free bike check campaign during the Tour of Germany emphasises the efforts to make cycling safer. "We are very happy to support the ADAC with our road safety service during the Tour of Germany and are once again able to promote sustainable mobility in this way," explains Yeply Germany CEO Wojtek Dziegelewski.
Due to the desire for a change in transport, more and more people are switching to bikes and leaving their cars at home. This makes it all the more important to focus on increasing safety as cycling traffic increases. The e-bike boom in particular and the resulting increase in speed make this imperative.
Yeply's maintenance service distinguishes itself from other bicycle repair shops through its mobility. They drive around the city in their vehicles and service every cyclist's bike at centralised locations. You have to make an appointment online beforehand. During the bike check campaign during the Deutschland Tour, however, you can simply drop by without an appointment.
