The beginner-friendly competition road bike Rose Xlite 04 shines in new colours. The Bocholt-based direct mail order company is launching three new colours for the coming model year. The two equipment variants change gears electronically and cost 3599 euros each.

More than two years ago, when the Xlite 04 was launched on the market, there were still four equipment variants in the online shop, but Rose now only offers two versions of the affordable race bike. In the last test by the road bike editors of our sister magazine TOUR, the platform was particularly impressive thanks to its high-quality frame set. Weight, stiffness and comfort: the now discontinued Variant with mechanical Shimano 105 did not suffer any notable weaknesses.

Robust components are the strength of the Xlite 04

In contrast to the more expensive Xlite 06, the basic model is built with maintenance-friendly and robust components. Instead of a one-piece cockpit and carbon aero wheels, a handlebar/stem combination and relatively flat aluminium wheels are fitted. What all the equipment variants now have in common is that they are only available with electronic gear groups. The revised Xlite 04 is available with Shimano's 105 Di2 or SRAM's Rival AXS.

New colours for the Xlite 04

Both versions are available in three colour options for the coming model year. The mail order company is once again showing its creative side. After Leberkas as the paint finish for the Backroad AL, the pastel colours of the Xlite 04 sound like a well-stocked bar: Espresso Martini, Grapefruit Paloma and Absinthe Frappe are the options.
