On the city course in Colombia's capital, 1605 steps and 27 obstacles await 25 of the world's best downhill bikers. Johannes Fischbach will also be competing in Bogota on 5 February.

Colombia's capital Bogota is once again the venue for this year's famous urban downhill race Red Bull Monserrate Cerro Abajo. 25 of the world's best downhill bikers will plunge down the wild city course on 5 February. In 2021, Frenchman Adrien Loron took victory on this track with a time of 4:31 minutes. He will be competing again this year to defend his title. Together with Marcelo Gutiérrez, the 2019 champion, all eyes are on title number two.

Johannes Fischbach as German starter in Bogota

The German Johannes Fischbach is competing in Colombia. The 33-year-old already competed on the legendary Red Bull Hardline in Wales last year. However, his frame broke in a spectacular crash during training and he was unable to take part in the main race.

27 obstacles and over 1000 steps

The marked course leads through the narrow streets of Bogota, is 2.4 kilometres long and starts on the city mountain Monserrate at 3152 metres above sea level. The hiking trail to the top of Monserrate serves as the route. 27 Obstacles and 1605 steps await the riders. This means that 95 per cent of the route consists solely of steps. The race starts on 5 February at 16:20 and can be watched in the Live stream on Red Bull TV (simply select "Show external content" below).
