After a long period of hope and trepidation, the organisers of the Rothaus Bike Giro have now been able to make their happy announcement: The four-day stage race through the Upper Black Forest can go ahead despite the coronavirus pandemic. From 20 to 23 August, professional and amateur athletes will be able to put their form and riding technique to the test over 229 kilometres with 5920 metres of elevation gain. However, the number of participants must remain limited to 500 this year and the race will be organised in conjunction with a special hygiene concept carried out.
Despite the adverse circumstances, the organisers of the Rothaus Bike Giro have not missed the opportunity to give the race a new lease of life. For the first time this year, the first two stages will start and finish on the Notschrei in Todtnau. The other two stages will start at the Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus brewery. The award ceremony will also take place there. The daily and overall winners will be honoured.
