In June 2021, the Bikepark Innsbruck will Crankworx World Tour will be opened. The legendary Crankworx mountain bike event will be held in Innsbruck for the fifth time. The anticipation and anniversary spirit are high. However, a little restraint is also required. In times of corona, questions still remain unanswered - for example: Which athletes are allowed to arrive or how many spectators can be admitted? However, the vaccination measures that have been introduced and important experience from last autumn with regard to hygiene measures that have already been tested and alternative initiatives mean that the organising team can look to the future with optimism. Until Crankworx Innsbruck takes place, the organisers are monitoring the Covid situation in close coordination with the authorities and adapting the measures and options accordingly. The aim is to ensure a spectacular and safe event.
As usual, the kick-off of the Crankworx World Tour returns to the third week of June in the anniversary year 2021. Five days of action and adrenaline are guaranteed. From 16 to 20 June 2021, not only the best international professional athletes will be able to let off steam in the well-known disciplines of downhill, slopestyle, dual slalom and pump track, but all adrenaline-seeking amateur athletes will also get their money's worth here. The younger generation will once again be battling for the coveted places on the podium and the next generation will once again have its own format with the "CWnext" competitions. Young amateur bikers will be able to compete alongside their big role models.
Innsbruck is not only focussing on sporting highlights in June. With the Innsbruck City Expo, the city offers an exciting programme of bike-related events for the local population as well as for athletes and their families. In addition to international exhibitors with innovations from the bike industry, there will be numerous hands-on offers and joint rides with the community. With live broadcasts and culinary delicacies from food trucks, professional sport will find its way into the city centre. In addition, Innsbruck, with its beautiful old town and stunning Alpine landscape, offers the opportunity to combine the Crankworx event with a family holiday.
