"Race the Night" - the world's only 24-hour downhill race of its kind will take place for the sixth time at the Bikepark Zauberberg Semmering on the weekend of 11/12 August. The more than 400 riders deliver hot racing action and the supporting programme provides additional fun around the clock. Admission is free!

There are many 24-hour races. But the 24-hour downhill "Race the Night" at Bikepark Semmering is unique. On Saturday, 11 August, at 12:00 noon, the race gets underway: over 400 starters plunge downhill on the specially prepared 2.7-kilometre course. The race starts in various categories, either as individual starters or in teams of two, four or six. The comfortable cable car takes you to the top. At the end, the riders will have covered more than 60,000 kilometres at altitude!

The starters travel from all over Europe to the highlight event, whose starting places are always filled within a very short time. There will be young downhill pros as well as amateurs over 50. Markus Stöckl, UCI Mountain Bike World Cup team owner and world speed record holder with 210.4 km/h on a production bike, will also be taking part.

There will also be an entertaining supporting programme with free entry and live bands in the ZauberBAR, as well as 24-hour non-stop DJs in the Slope-Inn located directly on the route.

On Sunday at 12:00 noon sharp, it will be decided who will be crowned this year's hero of the Magic Mountain, but that's not all: the individual starters will start the "LAST MAN STANDING" competition at 12:01 noon directly after the 24-hour race. In the knockout procedure, the participants will fight to the last man standing for a very special prize: a ticket with the MS Moonraker Team to the UCI World Cup final in Hafjell/Norway. All inclusive. The team currently leading the World Cup rankings, led by owner Markus Stöckl (individual participant!!!), will be travelling to Norway for a week with flights, accommodation, meals and, above all, the entire team. The financial value is 2,500 euros per person.

Sebastian Brust was born in 1979 and was originally socialised on his grandmother's folding bike, but has mainly been riding studded tyres since his fifth birthday. Loves all kinds of bikes - and merging with nature. Believes that disc brakes are much safer today than they were 15 years ago and thinks he has helped with his brake and pad tests. However, the trained vehicle technology engineer very much regrets that the bicycle industry is orientating itself on what he considers to be the wrong ideals of the car industry. At BIKE, he corrects, produces and organises digital content on the website.
