Warm & dry: MTB shoe Fasterkat from 45NRTH in the test
As a proven cold weather specialist for sports shoes, the small supplier from Minnesota not only knows how to keep your mind warm, but also your limbs.

In addition to spike tyres, balaclavas and hand warmers, 45Nrth also has the Fasterkatt in its range. A waterproof winter boot for temperatures from -3 to +7 degrees Celsius. In addition to the reliable protection against wetness and sufficient thermal insulation for the specified temperature range, we liked the good fit. Thanks to the quick lacing system, the boot can be fastened very firmly and yet comfortably even on slender feet. The sole is stiff enough for good power transfer on the pedals and still offers a good grip. Over time, the sealed zip hooked due to the constant mud. A problem that has already been remedied in the revised model. Unfortunately, we cannot say whether the upper material is particularly sensitive or just torn by a stupid accident. A cut (circle) damaged the outer skin. As a result, the shoe was no longer waterproof.
