You want to sprinkle cheese on top or baste the food with juice - it's strange to cook your bikeshoes in the oven. The idea sounds crazy, but it's clever: Because every biker has different feet, the innovative CFC sole can be customised. Or baked on. Whatever you want to call it. Switch on the oven, switch on the medium heat, put the shoe in and finally place your foot in it. Wonder why the baked goods are barely warm, but still pliable and mouldable. And off to the trail. And indeed - it works. What was still tight in its raw state now moulds smoothly around the foot.
The soft and well-cushioned rubber sole, which covers the actual carbon shell, is already noticeable on the way to the bike cellar. The entire shoe is so stiff that it transfers the power perfectly to the pedals. This is exactly what racers expect from a shoe. Touring cyclists, on the other hand, will want a more flexible sole for long sections. Annoying: The rubber of the sole immediately began to peel off on both test pairs. In addition, the fastening mechanism is difficult to open.
