Protection against the cold: Fizik Artica X5 winter shoes on test
The Artica X5 had a tough winter in 2017 and had to endure a lot, from cross-country races to deep snow tours.
The seamless upper material proved to be surprisingly durable and, above all, waterproof. The Fizik shows hardly any wear despite the many kilometres. With winter socks, the feet felt most comfortable at around freezing point. The entry is quite comfortable for a winter shoe and the quick lacing is surprisingly effective. Only the zip caught after a short time, but could be made smooth again with silicone spray.
