Adidas presents the Five Ten Freerider Pro BOA, a new mountain bike shoe for demanding riders. The BOA Fit System allows the fit to be adjusted with millimetre precision. And it's... white!

Adidas is expanding its Five Ten mountain bike shoe series with a new model featuring the BOA closure system. The Freerider Pro BOAAccording to the manufacturer, the combines proven technologies from the Freerider range with a precisely adjustable BOA twist lock.

This allows bikers to quickly and easily adjust the fit of the shoe to their requirements at any time - even while riding! This is because the BOA Li2 system can be adjusted both tighter and wider with the familiar dial. This means that the flat pedal shoe can be laced tight for technical descents and then loosened again.

Five Ten Freerider Pro BOA: Grip, protection and fit

As a flat pedal shoe, the Freerider Pro BOA relies on Five Ten's Stealth rubber compound. In combination with the characteristic dot-shaped Dotty profile of the outsole, this should ensure maximum grip on the pedals. The shoe is equipped with a reinforced toe cap to protect against impacts and stone chips. A cushioned EVA midsole is designed to support the foot both when riding and walking. According to Adidas, the upper material of the shoe is quick-drying.

BOA PerformFit Wrap

Together with BOA, Adidas has developed a special fit configuration called PerformFit Wrap for the Freerider Pro BOA. This is based on an asymmetrical upper shoe, which is designed to distribute pressure evenly and reduce pressure points. By tightly enclosing the foot, Adidas promises an improved connection between the foot and the midsole.
