Endurance test: Solestar soles
I'm sceptical when it comes to new products. This was also the case with the customised carbon soles from Solestar. But then I was pleasantly surprised.
The orthopaedic specialist shop got down to business: flat foot, splayfoot, pelvic obliquity. A few millimetres more here, a little less support there, and the customised sole was ready. The first few rides were unusual. Although I was sitting straight on the bike for the first time, it felt rather crooked. After a short period of familiarisation, however, I wouldn't want to be without the thin, stiff soles.
CONCLUSIONThe soles provide full power transmission and offer a perfect fit.
