Endurance test: Shimano shoes SH-M240 Custom Fit
The instructions for Shimano's custom-fit shoes read like a baking recipe. First place the sole, then the shoes in the oven at 120 degrees for 2:30 minutes. A plastic bag is then used to create a vacuum around the shoe and foot, in which the material cools down.

The result is a shoe with a perfect fit. No pressure, no rubbing. Two Velcro straps and a ratchet fasten the shoe properly. Power is transferred without any noticeable loss. The sole only reaches its limits on longer pushes. However, the SH-M240 is not designed for this. The adjustment can be repeated as often as required at the Shimano dealer. After a good year, however, there was no noticeable deficit in the fit of the test shoe. Incidentally, the race shoes are also available in a wide version from size 41 upwards.

CONCLUSION260 euros is a lot of money for a shoe. But the comfort is outstanding. The SH-M240 is definitely worth the money.
