Protectors and vests in one - that's not entirely new in the gravity bike sector, but this is where Bluegrass scores with comfort and breathability.

Comfort and breathability rarely take centre stage. This is exactly where the Bluegrass Seamless B&S D30 on. The perforated protector and the coarse-meshed Dryarn textile ensure good ventilation.

The shirt has proved its worth on our e-tours: It is very comfortable to wear, fits perfectly thanks to its long cut and stretch material and dries quickly. D30 has established itself with its high shock absorption and low weight. It is implemented in the back and shoulder area of the Bluegrass shirt. The inserts can be removed for washing. We would only recommend the Bluegrass shirt for bike park use to a limited extent: It lacks chest protection. Practical: two small back pockets for snacks or a spare inner tube. The only point of criticism: the coarse-meshed textile construction is somewhat susceptible to tearing. And the price is steep. Also available as a sleeveless version for 190 euros.

Born in South Baden, Laurin Lehner is, by his own admission, a lousy racer. Maybe that's why he is fascinated by creative, playful biking. What counts for him is not how fast you get from A to B, but what happens in between. Lehner writes reports, interviews scene celebrities and tests products and bikes - preferably those with a lot of suspension travel.
