Lightweight trail protectors are designed to combine protection and comfort. A great thing! We tried out the lightweight Kali Strike Knee (333 g).

The pads made of so-called Xelion rubber sit on a lightweight nylon stocking. The pad can also be fastened above the knee with Velcro. Unfortunately, we don't have any laboratory values, only practical impressions: The Strike sits very comfortably on the knee. So that you can enjoy pedalling uphill without wanting to push the pads towards your ankles. However, when the going gets tough, the protector tends to slide down and expose the knee. This happened during a small, thankfully only minor, fall.

Price: 85 €. kaliprotectives.com

STRENGTHS Weight, wearing comfort
WEAKNESSES Slipped slightly downwards during the fall

CONCLUSIONComfortable trail protector with a solid fit. Unfortunately, it slips easily.
