Foam carpet: Endura MT500 knee protector
Knees never heal - a nasty saying with a high truth content - unfortunately. The knee has no muscle protection. If you fall, bone hits rock. That's why foam pads really make sense.

Knee protectors drastically reduce the impact impulse. Under two conditions: 1. the protector does not slip, but stands like a bodyguard between the ball and the president, i.e. bone and ground. 2. the foam has good cushioning properties. Endura relies on the expertise of D30. The English foam experts develop smart foams that cushion at all temperatures. Surprisingly, this one is only certified to the tame protection level 1, but is recommended for DH use. Good: the hard shell cap. This means that the protector does not interlock with the ground so quickly and stays on the knee. The upper neoprene sock could be tighter (wrinkles) and the pad presses a little on the shin. Weight: 538 grams (size M/L).

Price: 95 €. endurasport.com

STRENGTHS Good workmanship, not too hot, comfortable to wear
WEAKNESSES Only protection level 1 certified, could fit more snugly, pad presses on the shin

Conclusion: high-quality knee pad with D30 foam; only certified to protection level 1.
