When it comes to crashing on action-packed downhill tours on a mountain bike, you want to be well protected. Decathlon now offers the D3O Ghost Reactive Protective Baselayer. This special protection for the upper body has a special feature based on advanced technology.

D3O Ghost Reactive Protective Baselayer: Innovative protection for mountain biking

The new base layer from Decathlon should offer a combination of protection and flexibility. In other words, it has to protect and still be comfortable on the bike. The highlight: the material of the protector pads - called D3O - hardens at lightning speed in the event of an impact to absorb the energy and prevent injuries. In its normal state, the material remains flexible and offers sufficient comfort on the tour. Other manufacturers already use these pads, for example Endura or Bluegrass for their knee pads, which we already had in a big test.

This is made possible by the shock-absorbing material, which is applied directly to the fabric without adhesives or seams. This allows you to remain fully focussed on the challenges of the trail. Thanks to its air-permeable construction, the D3O base layer is breathable.
