The Austrian brand Löffler presents SKYS, a new gravel collection. The development was carried out together with Oliver and Tomaz from Velo Kartell, who wanted to test the limits of what is possible on a gravel bike on a route on the Stelvio. The route covered 50 kilometres and 2,000 metres in altitude over old military roads to Malga Pedenolo. Snow and difficult conditions ultimately forced the pair to turn back before the summit, but Oliver and Tomaz's experiences were directly incorporated into the design of their clothing.
The SKYS collection is based on a modular concept. The individual parts can be optimally combined with each other depending on the weather conditions and route profile. Tarmac, gravel and mud place different demands on clothing. The system takes weather changes and long distances into account. Lightweight materials meet robust constructions. Löffler has optimised the cuts for the riding position on the gravel bike.
The SKYS XT bib shorts cost from 199.99 euros. Four pockets offer storage space for tools, bars and other equipment. Two pockets are located on the sides and two more on the back. The Comfort Extreme seat pad is designed for long tours. The material dries quickly and offers an aerodynamic fit. The bib shorts are available in sizes 46 to 56 for men and as strapless shorts for women in sizes 34 to 47 from 139.99 euros.
The Jersey FZ SKYS Escape costs from 109.99 euros. It has four pockets and a full-length zip. The material is knitted at the company headquarters in Austria. The construction is breathable and cooling. The cut follows a slim fit. The women's counterpart is called the W Bike Jersey FZ SKYS Storm Mid, costs 99.99 euros and has a sporty, comfortable cut.
The SKYS Merino T-shirt is available from 99.99 euros. The sleeves are made from hard-wearing material. The cut corresponds to a comfort fit. The shirt is suitable for gravel and mountain bike use.
The Jersey FZ SKYS Hotbond RF LS costs from 129.99 euros and is available for both men and women. The sleeves can be removed if required and for better cooling. A 2-way zip provides additional ventilation. Several pockets offer storage space. The jersey has a slim fit and is designed for demanding gravel tours.
The Bike Zip-Off Jacket Windshell also has detachable sleeves. Its material is ultra-light and packs down small so that the jacket fits easily into a jersey pocket. A 2-way zip regulates ventilation. The construction is weatherproof. The compact pack size allows flexible use in changing conditions. The jacket costs 179.99 euros for both men and women.
The collection uses lightweight, high-performance materials. Hard-wearing fabrics are used in exposed areas. The cuts are designed to optimise movement. Pocket solutions offer secure storage space. The material is breathable. The design takes into account tours lasting several hours in the saddle.
