Wet, cold, dark. Autumn is here. But the changing ground conditions, colourful foliage and misty mornings give the season a charm all of its own. The US brand Giro wants to have developed jackets, waistcoats and jerseys that are just right for this weather. With the introduction of the ReNew series, Giro has also embarked on the path towards more sustainable production. All products bearing the ReNew label are made from at least 50 per cent recycled material.
The cold wind in autumn and winter can make for an unpleasant cycling experience. The Giro Cascade Insulated Jacket is designed to prevent this. It has windproof inserts at the front to keep the warmth close to the body. To prevent overheating on the next climb, the material should still be breathable. The back has an airy design so that heat can also be dissipated here. Equipped with the same features, the Cascade Insulated waistcoat from Giro. Only without sleeves. The Californians also use an insulating and windproof layer on the front of the gilet. The temperature of the jacket and gilet can be regulated via openings. Price for the jacket: 249,95 Euro. The waistcoat is for 209,95 Euro to have.
Warm and yet not overheat: These are the requirements for bike clothing in the off-season. Laser-cut cuffs and the strategic use of mesh material are designed to ensure comfort and clever moisture management. The Giro Chrono Elite Long Sleeve is part of the Renew series and therefore consists of at least 50 per cent recycled plastic. Price for the base layer: 149,95 Euro
