The Finnish company Yeply is one of the largest providers of bicycle maintenance services in Europe. The service provider was founded by Antti Känsälä and Tommi Särkkinen in 2016 and offers bicycle maintenance and service solutions to private and business customers. Various bicycle companies use the provider for warranty services for their customers, among other things. On certain maintenance days, when mechanics from the Finnish company come to the company, they repair, maintain and check employees' bikes during working hours. Some delivery services also use Yeply to prevent their bikes from breaking down. If you don't want to pay the 85 euros for a single bike service, you can take out the "Yeply Worry-Free" maintenance subscription for 9.90 euros per month. Also in Leasing packages the subscription is possible as an integrated component.
The principle of the company is simple. With their mobile vans, they drive through towns and neighbourhoods and service their customers' bikes between 3pm and 9pm. To emphasise their efficiency concept, Yeply advertises that a bike dropped off before 18:00 will be ready for collection on the same day in 99 percent of cases. The customer can check online where the nearest van is and also make an appointment online. The workshop vans are equipped in such a way that three bikes or e-bikes can theoretically be serviced and repaired at once.
"The bike is increasingly taking centre stage. Keyword: traffic turnaround. More and more people are switching to the two-wheeled active mobility of the future. This makes the issue of safety all the more important. Our aim is to make it as easy as possible to find a good bicycle service. to shape the future," explains Wojtek Dziegelewski, head of Yeply's German sites.
The German headquarters of the Finnish bike service is in Hamburg. However, Yeply vans are also on the road in Munich, Düsseldorf, Berlin and the surrounding area. In total, over 70 employees work for the company across Germany. With the motto "We keep you riding", the bike maintenance service is striving for expansion. The newest location will open in Cologne on 1 July, which makes Cologne-born Dziegelewski particularly happy. Yeply wants to offer a sustainable and flexible bicycle service in the city - but not just there: "We want to establish a new standard in the field of bicycle maintenance with our service, and we want to do it worldwide," reveals Dziegelewski.
