How to re-route the shift cables on the old bike
On older bikes, the shift cables are often exposed and are particularly susceptible to dirt. Continuously routed outer sleeves reduce the friction of shift cables and increase their durability.


YOU NEED:
1. cordless screwdriver
2. files
3. centre punch
4. hammer
5. threaded riveter
6. threaded rivet

(6) Fine-tuning If the cables are too loose in the drilled stop, you can thicken the outer casing at the corresponding point with adhesive tape and fix the cable in this way.

Caution! If you use the drill on your frame, you will invalidate the manufacturer's warranty. Furthermore, these measures are not suitable for carbon frames!
