Carbon: Care and maintenance
Sports equipment made of carbon fibre is robust and sensitive at the same time. It needs special care. Dipl.-Ing. Dirk Zedler explains what you should and should not do.

In the PDF download you will find these detailed tips for the care and maintenance of your "black beauty":

1. how do I park my carbon bike safely?
2. what do I have to consider during transport?
3. avoiding impacts on the top tube in the event of a fall
4. how to use the assembly stand with carbon fibre
5. how to mount screw-on grips correctly
6. use of carbon assembly paste

and much more.

Carbon frames also need care. Aluminium components are glued, screwed or riveted in many places. Aluminium can start to corrode under the paint. Wash your bike with plenty of water and seal it with wax.

You will also find our detailed carbon journal in the PDF download including the "screwdriver tips".
