Radon test fleet stolen!
At the Radon test event on the Flowtrail in Stromberg last weekend, the entire mountain bike test fleet was stolen. Once again, professional thieves were at work...

Last weekend, the Flow trail in Stromberg the first Radon test event 2016 took place. On the second day, the Bonn-based shipper's entire test fleet was stolen.

The theft includes 12 high-quality carbon mountain bikes and other guide and private bikes from a locked room in the "Resort Stromberg" - the thieves' focus was specifically on high-quality and therefore expensive equipment.

Radon in a press release:

"We are deeply shocked and are asking ourselves whether we will still be able to offer test events of this kind in the future. The methods of organised crime are becoming ever more brazen and sophisticated, and as organisers we have not been able to guarantee one hundred percent security for the bikes for some time now. In the recent past, high-quality bikes from various manufacturers (including our own) have been stolen at major events using highly sophisticated methods - sometimes while the trade fair was still running. Forged ID documents during test rides are still one of the more "harmless" variants."

Radon is asking for help so that it can offer more events of this kind in the future.

Course of the theft

Radon's entire test bike fleet was stored and secured in a storage room at the Stromberg resort on Saturday (9 April 2016) at around 18:30. On Sunday (10 April 2016), the loss of 15 models was noticed at around 08:15 and reported to the police. Traces of burglary were found in a rear entrance, the evaluation of the video surveillance in an adjoining room is still pending.
