The Freiburg native is leaving the Lexware mountain bike team after eleven years. The talent factory from the Black Forest also said goodbye to all other elite riders at the turn of the year and is now focussing solely on young talent - which is not so bad for six-time German champion David List. He has secured a place in the Decathlon Ford Racing Team for 2025.

The Ukrainian Yana Belomoina has spent the last two years riding in the colours of the KMC Ridley MTB Racing Team. There were no ground-breaking successes during this tenure. That may change in 2025. Because with her new sponsor Massi behind her, she wants to tackle the world's best again in the new year. Also worth mentioning: in addition to two European Championship titles, Belomoina has won four Olympic medals.

US-American Björn Riley became famous under the colours of the Trek Future Racing Team. In addition to breakneck race bike action on Instagram (it's worth checking out!), his popularity has grown in recent years, particularly thanks to top placings at the top of the cross-country world rankings. To put things in perspective: the U23 rider secured silver at this year's World Championships, won World Cups and is the reigning US champion. In 2025, Riley will celebrate his elite debut alongside Nino Schurter in the colours of the Scott-Sram team. Alongside him, the team led by XC veteran Thomas Frischknecht welcomes another promising young talent: Canadian Emilly Johnston. Just like Riley, she can look back on a medal-laden World Cup season in the U23 category. Meanwhile, existing team riders Nino Schurter, Andi Frischknecht and Filippo Colombo have signed with Scott Sram for another season.

Jenny Rissveds, Olympic champion and permanent guest on the World Cup podium, will be part of the Canyon CLLCTV Factory XC Team in 2025. With Jenny, the team gains one of the most experienced riders on the XC scene. Her own team (Team 31 Ibis Cycles Continental), which she initiated in 2018, will continue to exist, but will retire from professional sport in order to dedicate herself to the next generation.

In addition to Jenny Rissveds, the team has announced two other new additions: Italian Valentina Corvi and Frenchman Noa Filippi. Both will take the next step in their professional careers in 2025 and move up to the elite category. Thomas Griot and Thibaut Francois are old acquaintances in the CLLCTV XC team and will also be riding in the eye-catching team colours in the coming season.

After finishing last season as the most successful team in the XC World Cup and with three world championship titles, CFR (Cannondale Factory Racing) is setting a new course for 2025. With the exception of Brit Charlie Aldridge, the former four-man team has completely disbanded. The team is now being completely reorganised around manager Manuel Fumic. Among them: Swiss cross-country queen Jolanda Neff. To date, she has claimed 13 World Cup victories, four European Championship medals, three overall World Cup victories, one World Championship title and one Olympic gold medal. With the lack of major successes recently, her motivation to shake up the world elite again in 2025 is all the greater.
