Chris Akrigg is an all-round ace. He can ride fast, creatively, playfully and on technical trails. In his latest short edit, he shows just how complete his biking skills are - this time without a motor, but on his trail bike.

The genius - Chris Akrigg (39)

The six-time trials champion is considered the most complete biker of all. Why? Chris is fast, playful and stylish on any bike. Legendary: his web edit "A Hill in Spain". Chris is an idol, even for superstars like Danny MacAskill. However, Chris never reached the same heights as Danny or Fabio, although his clips are no less spectacular.

That's what Chris Akrigg says:

"The most challenging section, which is also the most fun, is the row of trees that leads into the river. I had seen this years ago and really wanted to do it. There was so much to consider to make it work. The line before you even get to the tree was horrible, super steep and slippery if you fall down the bank. I really had to work on keeping the front wheel up. That was a pretty hard pull. The tree itself was super slippery; the moss came off and exposed the tree underneath, which was like ice! Then it was just a case of dropping onto a mega-slippery green rock in the river and immediately making a great turn. It wasn't strictly necessary, but that's how I wanted it! I was really happy that I managed to do it the way I wanted to. It's really hard to convey how hard this stuff is, but you'll have to take my word for it. We had a lot of fun putting this little edit together. I hope you enjoyed a bit of analogue action in this digital world!" - Chris Akrigg

Born in South Baden, Laurin Lehner is, by his own admission, a lousy racer. Maybe that's why he is fascinated by creative, playful biking. What counts for him is not how fast you get from A to B, but what happens in between. Lehner writes reports, interviews scene celebrities and tests products and bikes - preferably those with a lot of suspension travel.
