2020 was a special year for downhill talent Vali Höll: finishing school, riding elite for the first time and the home World Championships in Leogang. The video shows her preparation and the World Championship weekend, which didn't go according to plan.

For the 18-year-old Valentina Höll 2020 was a year that presented several challenges at once: finishing school, leaving the Junior World Cup behind, moving up to the downhill elite and racing a UCI World Championship in front of a home crowd. After a coronavirus season characterised by cancellations, the young Austrian finally stepped onto the "big stage" of downhill racing in Leogang. The anticipation of competing with the best female riders in the world and hopes of a podium finish were high, but not everything went according to plan. The film "One lesson at a time" turns back the clock and shows Vali Höll's first participation in the World Championships as an elite racer.
