British downhill racer Tahnée Seagrave wants to fight her way back onto the World Cup podium in 2023 after an injury-plagued racing season. We spoke to the professional biker, who rides for Canyon, about her brother and her plans.

Tahnée Seagrave (27) was born in London and grew up in the bike mecca of Morzine in the French Alps. Dad Tony, a passionate biker himself, got his two children, daughter Tahnée and son Kaos, hooked on biking - and did a great job, as both have become professional bikers. Tahnée is a podium candidate in every downhill race she competes in. Brother Kaos is known for his radical web edits and appearances at the Red Bull Hardline. Tahnée Seagrave became Junior World Downhill Champion in 2013, won her first UCI Mountain Bike Downhill World Cup in Leogang in 2016, was runner-up in the World Championships (2018/19), then injuries put her on the skids. We wish her a speedy recovery!

Tahnée Seagrave in a short FREERIDE interview

"The Edit Parallel II is awesome. Kade Edwards and Brandon Semenuk inspire me so much that I want to jump on the bike straight away. Very cool!"
"Okay, I might be a bit biased, but it's exciting to see my brother racin'. You can feel how passionate he is about it and he always puts on a crazy show!"
"I've started meditating. It's good for me. I need to calm down because I'm so hyper."
"Sex Education is my favourite series on Netflix."
"I would never have thought it possible that a concussion could derail my life like that. I lost control of my body and mind. Now I have to rethink everything, both as an athlete and in my life."
"I live according to plan A. But I also need a plan B and preferably a plan C."
"Watch my race runs? My mum is too nervous for that. My dad has to call her and tell her everything went well. "
