From 11:00 to 16:00, the wholesale flower market hall in Thalkirchen will be transformed into a bargain dream.
Munich's bike scene has something to look forward to again: on Sunday, 12 April 2026, the legendary Rasenmäher Bike Flea Market will enter its 22nd round. From 11:00 to 16:00, the wholesale flower market hall in Thalkirchen will be transformed into a bargain dream for all mountain bike, road bike and gravel fans.

Visitors can expect a colourful mix of complete bikes, spare parts, accessories and clothing in the spacious area. Collectors and lovers of classic bikes in particular will get their money's worth: rare classics, vintage bikes and genuine rarities from the early bike years can be found here as well as current highlights from the scene. Those who arrive early have the best chance of snapping up real bargains - because the most sought-after items sell out quickly.

What once began in 2004 with just six stalls in a small pub has long since developed into a true cult event. Today, the flea market attracts professionals, big names in the scene and Munich locals alike. In addition to browsing and haggling, the event offers plenty of opportunity to talk shop, exchange tips and tricks or network with like-minded people.

Food and drink will also be provided: the lawnmower gang (Karen, Holger and team) will spoil guests with grilled sausages, homemade cakes and cool drinks. If you're in the mood for expertise, you can gain exciting insights into bike technology, maintenance and accessories at the Tech Talks.

Both underground and street parking spaces are available for visitors. Another plus point: the flea market takes place even in bad weather, so nobody has to miss out on their favourite items.

Admission: free for visitors

Advantages of second-hand cycling clothing

  • Significantly cheaper than new goods
  • High-quality branded products at an affordable price
  • Sustainable consumption, less use of resources
  • Extended service life of functional materials
  • Possibility to find older or limited collections
  • Smaller ecological footprint

Disadvantages of second-hand cycling clothing

  • Limited choice of size, colour and model
  • Traces of use or material fatigue possible
  • Functional membranes (e.g. in rain jackets) may have lost performance
  • Hygiene concerns, especially with clothing that is very close to the body
  • No or only limited warranty claim
  • Returns or exchanges sometimes more difficult than in traditional retail

The Rasenmäher Bike Flea Market is therefore not just a place for bargain hunters, but a real highlight for the entire Munich bike scene - from classics to the latest trends, from beginners to pros. Anyone looking for bikes, parts or simply a good chat with like-minded people should not miss this event.

What counts for him is not how fast you get from A to B, but what happens in between. Lehner writes reports, interviews scene celebrities and tests products and bikes - preferably those with a lot of suspension travel.
